This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Thank God Obama's not being investigated for abuse of power. The GOP would call for a good ole', hand's down, mud slingin'rally that would seriously cause a riot. And why hasn't Obama and Biden jumped on Ms. Palin's "error in judgement?" Maybe it's because they're decent people. OH MY GOD...Decent people, with above board characters in the White House???What next? Better education, waging peace instead of war, food for the poor, maybe medical care for those of us who need it or maybe even an ability to live without fear of the right wing greed and tactics or what carnage they'll leave behind!!

B. Smith  - your comment prompted me to do a little research.  In five minutes online I found that there are five members of the Alaskan Supreme Court.  Three of the five were appointed by Republican governors, including one by Palin herself.  Unless you are an Alaskan, you know absolutely nothing about the Supreme Court in that state.  So please spare me your completely unfounded "liberal bias" BS.  Read up or shut up!

Anne, I believe that was sarcasm, unless I am mistaken.  It was a tongue-in-cheek comment which does not usually require research, just a tongue and a cheek.  ;>)

However, I believe it is rude, if not a COH violation to tell someone to Shut Up.  On their own seed, no less.

When I am on a seed that I find ill-informed or not to my liking, I leave.

How many times did Palin turn her back on a family that had a member injured or killed by a police officer...I don't know about Alaska, but here in LA the LAPD are borderline criminals...They kill unarmed people all the time with no one ever going to jail.  I guess when the victim is a poltician's family member it's then justified to punish a police officer.  I never see any LAPD get fired when they blatantly beat reporters downtown or shot an 84 year old woman who came at them with a screwdriver, or killed the 13 year old boy who backed a stolen car into them.  Shot him about 15 times...But then again, these people weren't relatives of politicians...Let her burn...Anyone who would try to associate Obama with terrorism is a despicable person catering to the lowest common demoninator.  I'm sure she has plenty of skeletons in her closet but Obama has the decency to avoid personal attacks.  I wish he would go after this evil wicked piece of human waste and bring out her assocation with the AIP and any nudie photos he can dig up.  Oh, I'm sure there out there somewhere.

I live in Alaska, an here the majority of all police city or state, are honest, respectable people. That is one reason Troopergate is causing such a stir, and it happened LONG before her announcment as VP nominee. I would love to know how people come up with Troopergate being a liberal retaliation? That is rediculous. I wish anyone would bring up her association with Alaskan for Independence. How much of a counrtyman is she? ZERO! She didnt even want to be part of the United States, and now she wants to run it? HA!Good luck. We can't wait for her to come home when she loses the election and impeach her ass as our governor. OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!

It looks like the gloves have been off for some time. I think she has a habit of tying to get people fired. The liberian who did not want to ban books that Palin did, got fired by mayor Palin but the public outcry got her job back. I figured out why Palin does not go out to talk on her own as she's with Mc Cane . She has a sore mouth. She went to the dentist and when the dentist asked her what she wanted all she could say was :DRILL BABY DRILL. I hope she got what she wanted.   The Joe six pack statements by Palin is actually a math question. If Sarah drinks Joe's six pack and then drinks John's six pack then she has a 12 pack under belt  and she is ready for Katie Couric's interview.  I do think that John Mc Cane should be allowed to testify at Palin's compentcy hearing.

What you do in thee dark will surely come to the light.  Now do you think that Fox news and that sickening Sean Hannity will mention anything at all about this?  He has not yet.  Why does he not call to have this matter looked deeply into?  Why does he not talk about the organization that Todd was a member of and Sarah has spoken in front of who believe Alaska should be separate and who do not appreciate the Unites States and what it stands for!  It is as if the Republicans are so stupid they will fall for anything.  Even when it is in front of them.  If the shoe was on the other foot, they would have all but sent a mob after Obama.

That is why the Republicans Shall not Steal This Election!  We Will Not Let Them!!

      GO Obama, Go!!!

It's not that they fall for anything, it's their selectiveness in judgment of what is acceptable and what is not.  They make rules for themselves to live by and then there are rules for the rest of us.  What they might forgive in one of their own, they will exploit in a perceived opponent.  It's nothing new, and more than likely you won't hear anybody on Fox News accepting the fact that Obama won after the election even when all the votes have been cast and the tallys are done.

It's over. Write that down on a pad of paper so you can remember i said so. No disrespect, but it's over. It's 1996 all over. A man can't win the Presidency on being a War Hero alone. Dole couldn't do it and Senator McCain won't do it.

A one front attack will not work. You've got to have a two prong attack. This is not a secret.

Liberals and the Media seem to want to hide those important stories in the very back pages with very small lettering.HONESTY...tell Obama to tell the TRUTH about how he really feels about America."reverend" Wright, racist, anti-American and twisted in his thinking was at least honest in the way he believes.I'm not looking to "make history" with the leader of our nation. There is way too much at stake.

This is for all those that love this country and are tired of the evil thread that has been coming from the Republican party lately.  So I will say this with a loud voice:

WE MUST GET OUT AND VOTE.  ALTHOUGH THE POLLS ARE SHOWING AN UPSWING FOR OBAMA, IT WILL DO NO GOOD IF WE DON'T GET OUT THERE ON NOVEMBER 4, AND VOTE.

SO, NO MATTER WHAT'S GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE ON THAT DAY; GET OUT THERE AND VOTE.  IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE STAND UP AND TELL THE DESPISCABLE REPUBLICAN PARTY WITH ALL THEIR VILE HATRED; THAT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND WE WILL EXPRESS THIS WITH OUR VOTE.

NOW GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm guessing the report is probably pretty ugly for Gov. Palin if Todd and company are already setting the framework to blame him and not her.

Of course, you can guarantee the McCain campaign releasing something about Obama (probably about ACORN) on Friday to take emphasis off the Palin debacle.

Dian, don't leave out Pitlan's complicity in the AIP cause.  She's just as guilty as he his.  The founder of that party (Joe Vogler) had no problems in displaying his disdain for the United States.  And Palin, as recently as this year, complimented them on their efforts and told them; "to keep up the good work."  That closing statement tells a lot about her attitude toward this country.

And what's even more telling, is that McFraud knew about all of this before he decided to select her as his VP.  What does that tell us about that nutcase???

It doesn't matter if it was Todd or Sarah doing the damage. If Sarah gets in the White House, another fear is added to her growing resume'.... An uncontrolable husband.

What this really reminds me of is that Todd is attempting to be the bad guy in this whole fiasco, so as to take the heat off Sarah. In no way does this work. Over the years the spouses of the VP and President have had much influence on their spouses and the American public. All Todd has said is that Sarah cannot control him.

Whatever Todd takes the blame on, Sarah, McCain and the Republican party need to realize that the fall out came about because of Sarah's actions. Either Sarah made these decisions herself, or she allowed her hot headed husband to make them for her.

wilberta the word i prefer to use about todd and sarah is not "low life" but "trailer trash" -- altho it truth they are both

i'm white trailer trash myself so i know from trailer trash -- or i was trailer trash just like trailer barbie and high school educated todd are until i put myself thru college and grad school, as we can do in america on student loans and grants

but no longer will America be the home of opportunity if we allow trailer barbie and chaos mccain into office

chaos intends to freeze all spending except for military spending

that means no more student loans to poor kids with no money behind them like i was trying to go to college -- if mccain was in office when i went to school i would still be as uneducated as trailer trash todd is and less educated than 6-pack srah who stumbled her way to a third-tier college degree, eventually

only rich republicans will be able to go to college in the US home of the opportunity if you people elect chaos mc cain and trailer trash 6-pack

we will truly be nothing but a war machine if chaos mc cain is allowed to get into the white house

i pray every day for god's wisdom to guide this election

i do not presume to tell god what to do, but i cannot imagine that god wants people as dangerous to america in office as trailer barbie and chaos mc cain are

C J-259306, trust me when I say this; Todd did nothing without the expressed knowledge and consent of Sarah, the terror, Pitlan.  If anyone believes otherwise are deluding themselves.  As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure it was her that authorized his actions, and that he did nothing without her permission...

If she has nothing to hide then she should be shouting it from the rooftops. Instead the "maverick reformer" is ducking and hiding like a wild bunny being chased. This is what Republicans are proud of? What they want to represent them?

What about her involvement with the Alaska separatist party? Check this out --

            Renise....

It doesn't matter if your Republican or Democrat. A person should be running for the opportunity to clear their name of wrong doing. Palin seems to be running away instead of jumping to the opportunity.

Her refusal to co-operate proves that she is guilty in some manner. No matter how small it may be. Her actions aren't the actions of an innocent person. Which proves that Republicans don't care about truth, honesty, and innocence.

Eugene, don't leave out decency.  What is wrong with some of the people in this country?  Why is it that over and over again, we show a willingness to put nefarious people into public office?  There is obviously something inherently wrong in the psyche of a lot of Americans.  It's uncanny that because of party affiliation we are willing to overlook known criminal behavior and still cast our vote in favor of a criminal.

SARAH PALIN IS A DESPOT WITH A PROPENSITY FOR LYING, DEFAMING, DISTORTIONING, AND A BLATANT AND BLOATED SENSE OF SELF RIGHTNESS WITH AN EGO MATCHED ONLY BY HITLER, STALIN AND SADAAM HUSSIEN...

Since Sarah is married to Todd, I guess that makes her guilty by association.

After all, she wants to say Obama is since his "connection" to William Ayers.

Voters have the right to know the character and honesty of presidential and VP candidates.  As McCain is hotly demanding for Obama's honesty with his association with Ayers, so must Americans demand Palin's honesty in her role in the troopergate probe. Why is McCain trying to shut the probe down if she did nothing wrong?

There will be no appealing this decision. Palin understands it would be useless. The San Francisco circuit would not even hear it. Alaska falls under that circuit.

I really don't care if the guy fired is guilty or not. I'd like to know why an average citizen can run around making allegations and not have them taken seriously until his wife is elected the Governor of the state.

I think Sarah 6-Pack appeals to really angry hate filled anti-American anti-freedom fear-ridden people and they just love the excuse to vent their anger and their hate and hope they get to run the country, if not the world, and call anyone who disagrees with them"terrorist" and jail, kill or torture them

in other words these people are praying for a return to the dark ages where education means you are a terrorist and thinking independently means you are a terrorist

they would take our freedom away make no mistake -- the woman wants to ban books how could any sane person vote for this?

That's just it Dian, sane people have for the most part come to their senses.  However, it's the nutcases, the uneducated, the racists, and the hate mongers that we need to worry about.  If McFraud/Pitlan are elected this country will be in a world of trouble.  It would also prove to me that the Mayan prediction of 2012 just might have some great truth to it.

Did you see the older woman at McFrauds rally on Friday, standing up and was trying to call Obama an Arab, and McFraud had to take the microphone from her and tell her that she was wrong?  McFraud and his little lap dog have unleashed a singe of hatred in people to the point that they are now at a lynch mob mentality.

There must be something that makes Conservatives abuse their positions. They have an attitude of superiority. I believe they have a superior tendency to break the laws that the rest of us live by. They have over the last 8 years placed themselves above the law.

You couldn't get a job at McDonald's and become District Manager after 143 days of experience.

You couldn't become Chief of Surgery after 143 days of experience.

                    BUT....

'From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World .... 143 days.

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is - a start,
and strangely, a large sector of the American public is OK with this and campaigning for him.

We wouldn't accept this in our own line of work, yet many are OK with this for the President of the United States of America ?

Come on folks, we're not voting for the next American Idol!

how does this have anything to do with the story? Plus, by your rationale, McCain's not qualified either.

He's been in the Senate for 26 years. Guess what he did throughout that time? Vote. That's it. He's one vote out of a hundred in the Senate and 1 vote out of 552 in congress.

Does voting really prepare someone to be President? No. The truth is, none of them are qualified. So, I base my judgement on whose policy proposals are the most efficient and appliable and who seems to be the most in touch with today's world.

Today where he placed in his class, would not be given a plane to pilot.. maybe one to repair but never to fly. he got out of Nam, unlike the others, cause his daddy was an admiril [bet that makes all the troops left behind,, feel all warm and fuzzy] got all his political funds from S&Ls,then for 25 years played the system, and got what he wanted.. not what "We The People" needed, now he plays at squeaky clean, but richly poor. He voted me out of a job at the age of 65,,, so why does he still have one?? he is older than I, unhealthier than I, and the only way for him to flip-flop is to get plugged into 110 volts, standing in water,if I'm to old to work so is he! She is a power hungry politician, who is ditier than mud. I hope her hubby knows he is allowing them to put his behind in prision for 15-30 years, in a Federal pen, for misuse of her power, and if she did not know!! then i know for sure she ain't going to the WH.. we already had an "I forgot" we don't need "I did not know" Today in some states wives are just as guilty of there husbans work, and vise versa.. I PREY Alaska is one of them.. to send them BOTH up the river.

I find it comical that every tactic that the McCampaign uses to try to cover their incompetencies as candidates leads right back to that very same point. Barack associated with Ayers......but McCain is supported by that same education board and has ties to Gordon L., Contra, and Keating 5. Obama's pasteur is radical......but Palin's is a witch hunter who thinks democrats won't go to heaven. I guess the ACORN angle is the only one left......
